Richard Lee Iseli 1938-2021 Obituary
Richard Lee Iseli, age 83 years, a resident of Elkins, WV, departed this life Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Lavender Fields Assisted Living at Beverly, WV, under the care of Mountain Hospice.
He was born Sunday, May 29, 1938 at Elkins, a son of the late John Iseli and Georgia Schnoover Iseli Wingfield. On September 17, 1960 at Oakland, Md., he was married to the former Nancy Lee Putzulu, who preceded him in death June 24, 2019.
Surviving are two sons, John Michael Iseli and wife Angie and Edward Allen Iseli and wife Glenda, all of Elkins; three daughters, Elizabeth Ann Bowers and husband Robert of Elkins, Kathy Sue Lewis and husband Tim of Beverly and Lori Dawn Mussi and husband Mike of Elkins; one sister, Clara Johnson of NC; one half-sister, Dena Drain of Elkins; eleven grandchildren, Kerri Iseli, Hillary White and husband Kenny, Jared Iseli, Christine Marie Iseli, Randy Lee Bowers, Susan Ann Bowers, Timothy “Bubby” Lewis and wife Angie, Richard Lewis and companion Kayla Tanner, Willy Lewis, Justin White, Michael Mussi, Jr. and companion Charity Currence; twenty-two great grandchildren: and one great-great grandson, Dean Mayo.
Preceding him in death are one half-brother Leroy Wingfield, Jr. and one great grandson, Anthony Wayne Iseli.
He attended the schools of Randolph County. He was employed by Kelly Foundry and retired from Mongold Lumber. Richard was Methodist by faith.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Lavender Fields Assisted Living for going above and beyond with taking such wonderful care of Richard.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins on Monday July 19, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Terry A. Burgess will officiate and interment will follow at the Saint Brendan Cemetery at Elkins, WV.
