Lana Susan Vance 1951-2021 Obituary
Lana Susan Vance, 70, a resident of Beverly, passed from this life Monday, June 21, 2021, at home surrounded by family and under the care of Mountain Hospice.
Lana was born Monday, April 16, 1951, in Akron, OH, a daughter of the late James Calvin Vance Sr. and Shirley Irene Graham Vance who survives.
Also left to cherish her memory is her husband of fifty years, John Lee Howell Sr., three children, Priscilla Findley, John Lee Howell Jr., Brian Keith Vance and wife Erika, twelve grandchildren, Taran, Jonathan, Andy, Dustin, Brandon, Brianna, Madison, Celeste, Mackenzie, Whitney, Koty, Kolyn, five great-grandchildren, Gunner, Kensley, Alyssa, Kayden, Brooklyn, ten siblings, James Jr., Gary, Steven, John, David and wife Roxy, Sheila, Phyllis, Debi, Marilin, Sharon, and special friend, Donald Riffle.
Preceding her in death besides her parents were four siblings, Michelle, Russell, Diane, Donald, one grandson, Austin William Vance, and son in law, Harvey Burl Findley Jr.
Lana was a graduate of Elkins High School and had been employed as a teacher’s aide at Beverly Headstart. She enjoyed four-wheeler riding and loved family cookouts. 4th of July was her favorite holiday. To Lana, family was everything! She loved to go shopping with Koty and her favorite form of shopping was to stop at yard sales. Lana was Pentecostal by faith and attended Tygart Valley Ministries in Beverly.
Visitation will be held at Randolph Funeral Home Monday, June 28, 2021, from 11 am until 1 pm, the funeral hour. Interment will follow in the Howell Family Cemetery on Beaver Creek Road in Beverly.
