Utah Ogden Barrickman 1938-2021 Obituary
Utah Ogden Barrickman, 83, a resident of Mill Creek, passed from this life, Thursday, December 9, 2021, at his residence, surrounded by family and under the care of West Virginia Caring.
Utah was born Thursday, March 24, 1938, in Adolph, a son of the late Tom Barrickman and Fannie Wegman. On February 26, 1958, he married the former Beatrice Currence, who survives. They had celebrated 63 years of marriage.
Left to cherish his memory are three children, Chris Barrickman and wife Pam, Thomas Barrickman and wife Debbie, all of Mill Creek, and Sondra Channell and husband John, of Huttonsville, seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one brother, Kendall Barrickman, of Tennessee.
Preceding him in death were seven siblings Louise, Dee, Silvy, Sib, Carrie, Skippie, and Nellie.
Utah was a graduate of Tygarts Valley High School, class of 1956, and had worked with Carter-Roag Mines as a coal miner. He was a Methodist by faith and enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, and doing what was truly his passion, hunting.
Visitation will be held at Randolph Funeral Home Monday, December 13, 2021, from 11am-1pm, the funeral hour. Pastor Frank Stanley will officiate, and interment will follow in Brick Church Cemetery in Huttonsville.
