Francesco “Frank” Bertelli 1935-2021 Obituary
Francesco “Frank” Bertelli, age 86 years, a resident of Norton, WV departed this life Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at the Davis Medical Center at Elkins, WV.
He was born Wednesday, January 30, 1935 at Elkins, WV a son of the late Dominic and Mary Baisi Bertelli. On January 31, 1959, he was married to the former Lillian Amelia Smith, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Carlo Bertelli and wife Chrissy of Midland, VA, Cindy Majetich and husband Ben, West Richland, VA, Lori Rivers and husband Rich of Marshall, VA, Michael Bertelli and wife Amanda of Chickasha, OK; one brother, David Eugene Bertelli and wife Dotti of Norton; two sisters, Gloria Bertelli of Norton and Becky “Anita” Manolidis and husband Joe of Norton; thirteen grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are four brothers, Tony, Joe, Fredo and infant Robert Bertelli; four sisters, Connie Martello, Dora Stanley, Dena G. Bertelli and Nikki Bertelli and two grandsons, Bryan Mace and Riley Brooks-Owings.
He was a graduate of Elkins High School. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving as a Staff Sergeant and working as an aircraft mechanic, retiring in 1974. He was a member of the Roaring Creek Post # 5583, Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed playing poker, walking and gardening and was a loving husband.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins on Monday, December 20, 2021 from 4 to 6 PM. Mr. Bertelli’s request for cremation will then be honored.
