Alva Dwayne Dean 1939-2021 Obituary
Alva Dwayne Dean, age 82, of Helvetia, died at his home on Friday, December 10, 2021. He was born on March 19, 1939, in Czar, WV a son of the late Arthur and Lela Smith Dean. In addition to his father and mother he was preceded in death by four brothers: Austin Dean, Raymond, Richard, and Junior Pugh and one sister Bernadine Wooten.
He is survived by three children; Barbara and husband Ronnie Pugh of Bartow, WV, Libby and husband Russell Leichliter of French Creek, WV and Arthur and wife Chanin Dean of North Carolina; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
The family has honored his request for cremation and a memorial service will be held at the Pine Grove UM Church at Czar on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at 12:00 noon.
