Homer Fay Day 1933-2010 Obituary
MR. HOMER FAY DAY, 76, a resident of Job, passed away Monday morning, Jan. 4, 2010, in Davis Memorial Hospital emergency department.
He was born March 23, 1933, at Job, a son of the late James Dixon and Lula Mae Painter Day.
He was married to Charles Lee Young Day, who preceded him in death in 1993.
Surviving are a stepdaughter, Sharon Fritz; one brother, Roy Day of Whitmer; one sister, Twila Mae June Evans of Moorefield; and four nephews and two nieces.
Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Troy and Donnie Day.
Mr. Day attended the schools of Randolph County and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in an armor division in Germany.
He was employed for 29 years as a truck driver by the Gaithersburg Lumber Co. in Maryland.
He moved from Maryland to Moorefield in 1996 and later to Job in 2008.
He was a member of the Job Church of God.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at the Job Church of God.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan 8, from the church with Todd Rhodes officiating.
Interment will follow in the Day Cemetery at Job.
