Brenda Kay Koerner 1956-2013 Obituary
Brenda Kay Koerner, age 56 years, a resident of Helvetia, WV, passed away Sunday morning, July 28, 2013.
She had been in her usual health and her death was unexpected. She was born September 18, 1956 in Elkins a daughter of Rev. Ralph Summerfield of Mill Creek and the late Olive Daniels Summerfield.
On December 10, 1978 she was married to Chesley Koerner who survives at Helvetia.
Also surviving is one son, Daniel Koerner and wife Jessica of Rock Cave, a daughter Lisa Koerner Perry and husband Chris of Columbus, OH, and three brothers, Gary , Randy and Roger Summerfield all of Blue Rock and a special friend, Leah Bryant.
Also preceding her in death was one brother, Michael Summerfield on July 4, 2013. Brenda was a graduate of Tygart Valley High School and was Salutatorian of the Class of 1974.
She was a Homemaker, a member of the Good Hope Tabernacle of Buckhannon and served as Secretary of the Pickens Cemetery Association.
She was a wonderful wife and mother and a helper to anyone who needed her. Friends may call from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at the Good Hope Tabernacle in Buckhannon.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, July 31st at the church with Pastor Holly Hoover officiating. Interment will follow in the Blue Rock Cemetery.
