Carl Richard Ford 1928-2004 Obituary
Carl R. Ford Sr., 76, Bayard, W.Va., died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, at Gar-rett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland.
Born Sept. 12, 1928, in Benbush, W.Va., he was a son of the late George M. and Lucy C. (Pase) Ford. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Catherine Ford; 16 brothers and sisters; and one grandson.
He is survived by his wife, Beatrice V. (Hanlin) Ford, Bayard; three stepdaughters, Bobbi Jo Smith, Grafton, W.Va., Malinda S. Knapp, Bayard, and Melissa J. Frantz, Japan; three sons, Carl R. Ford Jr., Parkersburg, W.Va., Kevin J. Ford, Shinnston, W.Va., and Gary W. Ford, Oakland; one stepson, Paul V. Dixon; one brother, Robert G. Ford, Oakland; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Friends were received at the Stewart Funeral Home, Oakland, where a service was held on Wednesday, Dec. 1, with the Rev. David Moon fficiating.
Interment was in the Bayard Cemetery.
