Opal Juanita Keener 1921-2003 Obituary
Opal J. Keener, age 81, of Orrville, Ohio and formerly of Pt. Marion, Pa., died March 17, 2003, in the Brennfield Nursing Home in Orrville.
She was born in Mill Creek, on Nov. 20, 1921, a d/o the late Sherdan and Maude E. Morgan Shiflett.
She had previously worked for Smuckers in Orrville and had retired from Houze Glass Corp. in Pt. marion.
She was the mother of four children, Mrs. Edward (Patricia) Popovich of Smithfield, Pa., Brenda Maynard of Wooster, Ohio, Mrs. Jim (Diana) Keltz of Orrville, and Danny Keener of Savannah, Ga.; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan P. Keener in Nov. 1981; two sons, William and Robert Keener; two sisters, Viola McCauley and Irene Keener; three brothers, Carl, Herman and Hughie Shiflett.
Interment was in the Evergreen Memorial Park, Pt. Marion, Pa
