Vada M. Helmick 1938-2004 Obituary
Vada Mae Helmick, 65, of 96 King School Road, Buckhannon, died at 5:35 a.m. Friday, Jan. 30, 2004, in United Hospital Center in Clarksburg.
She was born March 13, 1938, in Buckhannon, the daughter of the late Otis Clark Rowan and Tracie Bailey Rowan.
On Dec. 25, 1957, she married the Rev. Eugene Helmick, who survives.
Surviving are one sister, Bonnie Livingston and husband, Charles, of Buckhannon; three brothers, Marvin Rowan and wife, Jeri, Bill Rowan and wife, Margaret, and Otis J. Rowan and wife, Bonnie, all of Buckhannon; several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was a homemaker and member of Rock Cave Baptist Church.
Friends were received from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home where funeral services were at 10 a.m. today. The Revs. David Jessie, the Rev. Charles Sisk and the Rev. Gary Gaunt officiated and interment followed at Bailey Cemetery in Buckhannon.
