Lamar Pingley 1942-2022 Obituary
Donnie Lamar Pingley, 80, a resident of Belington, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at the Good Samaritan Center in Belington.
He was born March 1, 1942, in Elkins, a son of the late Dorsey Brian Pingley and the late Phoebe Likens Pingley.
He was married to Marilyn Mack Pingley, who survives at Belington.
Also surviving are one son, Jerry Pingley, Warren, Ohio; one daughter, Jenny Melton of Buckhannon, West Virginia; three brothers, Kenneth Pingley of Norton, West Virginia, Michael Pingley, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and James Pingley of Snowshoe, West Virginia.
Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.
Also preceding him in death in addition to his parents were two brothers, Ronnie and Tommie Pingley; and one sister, Barbara Cutright.
Donnie attended the schools of Randolph County and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a self-employed auto mechanic and enjoyed fishing.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m., Friday, March 4, 2022, at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins.
Mr. Pingley will then be cremated. Inurnment of the cremains will take place at the Elkins Memorial Gardens at a later date.
The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Donnie Lamar Pingley.
