Evelyn Mae Shreve 1942-2020 Obituary
Evelyn Mae Shreve, 77 of Mount Clare went to her eternal home on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at River Oaks.
She was born December 11, 1942 in Elkins, WV, daughter of the late Carl Lee and Maude Lucille Leary Hamrick.
Evelyn was a CNA for thirty four years working at The Heritage Nursing Home.
She was very active in the church when her husband Pastor Franklin Noil Shreve was pastoring until he passed on December 5, 2013.
Evelyn enjoyed reading, cooking, and going to church. Evelyn loved the Lord and devoted much of her life to following His teachings.
Evelyn was a beloved woman of faith, love, and great character. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Jeff Shreve, Clarksburg, Greg Shreve and wife Michelle, Heaters, Rodney Shreve and wife Candace, Cross Lanes, and Pamela Shreve, Clarksburg; grandchildren, Brad and Ryan Shreve, Heaters; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Junior; five brothers, Richard “Dick”, Arnold, Cletus, Jim, and Neil Hamrick; one sister, Kittie Carr.
Family and friends will be received at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr./Rt. 98, Clarksburg on Sunday, July 5, 2020 from 12:00-with proper distancing and face mask preferred.
Services will be held Monday, July 6, 2020 at 11:00am at Davis Funeral Home with Pastor Brad Cottrill officiating.
Interment will follow at the Stonewall Park Cemetery.
