Encil Zickefoose 1912-2003 Obituary
Encil Zickefoose, 90, of Trubie Run near Buckhannon, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2003, at Davis Memorial Hospital.
He was born Nov. 12, 1912, in Newlon, the son of the late James Zickefoose and Iway Tenney Zickefoose.
On Dec. 25, 1932, he married Mary Frances Crites Zickefoose, who preceded him in death on Aug. 25, 2002.
Surviving are two daughters, Sharon Richmond of Charleston and Mary Kay Light of Buckhannon; one son, Robert Zickefoose of Alliance, Ohio; one brother, Junior Zickefoose of French Creek; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Evelyn Henry; two brothers, Dennis Zickefoose and Rex Zickefoose; and two sisters, Opal Dill and Elvia Case.
Mr. Zickefoose was employed in maintenance at West Virginia Wesleyan College, was a coal miner and worked for Bell Nursery.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday.
The Rev. Wease Day will officiate and interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery at Hinkleville.
