Daisy Zirkle 1906-2003 Obituary
Daisy Zirkle, 96, of Route 4, Box 546, Buckhannon, died Sunday, March 23, 2003, at 9:30 p.m. in Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins.
She was born Nov. 25, 1906, in Century, a daughter of the late John Fieldon and Eunice Cordelia Robinson Haddix.
On April 20, 1931, she married Herbert B. Zirkle, who preceded her in death on July 9, 2002.
Surviving are one son, Mendel Zirkle, Buckhannon; two daughters, Marlene Zirkle, Buckhannon, and Sally Ann Isgro, Louisville, Ohio; one daughter-in-law, Anna Mae Zirkle, Buckhannon; five grandsons, Wilbert Jay Zirkle, Buckhannon, Randall Zirkle, Bridgeport, Charles Zirkle, Ellamore, Eric Isgro, Louisville, Ohio, and Dan Isgro, Houston, Texas; five granddaughters, Melody Peterman, Bridgeport, Linda Enos, Ripley, Lisa Janowiak, Odenton, Md., Melissa Thomas, Louisville, Ohio, Christina Isgro, Grand Rapids, Mich.; two sisters-in-law, Dema Carr, Belington, and Agnes Haddix, Buckhannon; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one son, Wilbert Zirkle; and one brother, Atha Haddix.
She was a homemaker and a Baptist by faith.
Friends will be received at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home today from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
