Gale R. Wilson 1940-2003 Obituary
Gale R. Wilson, 62, of Route 2, Nestorville community, Philippi, passed away at 3:30 a.m. Monday, May 26, 2003, at his residence from an apparent heart attack.
He was born Sept. 2, 1940, at Thornton, a son of the late Delbert R. and Ruby B. (Bolyard) Wilson.
He was united in marriage on July 31, 1960, to the former Rita Carol Miller, who survives.
Also surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Carol Lynn and husband, James Harris, Junior; one son, Randall Gale “Radar” Wilson, at home; two brothers, Dale Wilson, Moatsville, and Fred Wilson, Philippi; two grandsons, Brett Harris and Ramie Harris.
He was employed by Sunrise Construction as a truck driver. He was a member of the Eastern Barbour Lions Club. He was a member of the New Hope Valley United Methodist Church.
Friends will be received at Wright Funeral Home, 216 N. Walnut St., Philippi, after 5 p.m. today. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. William Smith and the Rev. Dot Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the New Hope Valley Cemetery.
