Mary Ellen White 1937-2003 Obituary
Mary Ellen White, 65, a resident of Route 3, Belington, passed away Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003, in the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown. She had been in declining health but her death was unexpected.
She was born Aug. 17, 1937, at Norton, the daughter of the late Otis Ray and Elsie Koon Helmick.
She was married to Billy L. White, who survives at Route 3, Belington.
Also surviving are three sons, Billy Joe White and wife, Deidre, of Belington, Terry White and wife, Darla, of Toledo, Ohio, and Scott Allen White of Toledo, Ohio; one daughter, Michelle Lynn Brittingham and husband, Michael, of Toledo, Ohio; one brother, Holly Goodwin of Madison; four sisters, Lucille Trembly of Portsmouth, Va., Mildred Bodkins, Baudette, Minn., Madeline Tenney of Ten Mile, and June Tenney of Norton; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Also preceding her in death were three brothers.
Mrs. White attended the schools of Randolph County and was a graduate of Beverly High School. She was a homemaker and attended the Whitmer Church of God.
At the request of the deceased, her remains were cremated. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Whitmer Church of God. The Rev. Chad Kirk will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Whitmer Church of God, Whitmer, W.Va., 26296, in memory of Mrs. White. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Mary Ellen White.
