Richard Allen Dick White 1948-2003 Obituary
Richard Allen “Dick” White, 55, a resident of Dailey, passed away Monday morning, Dec. 1, 2003, in the Davis Memorial Hospital emergency department.
He was born Jan. 18, 1948, in Elkins, the son of the late Gerald and Opal Clayton White.
He was married to Rebecca Gum White, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by a special companion, Glendine Stalnaker, and her sons, Clinton and Jeffrey. Also surviving are two sons, Richard Allen White Jr. of Niles, Ohio, and Matthew White of Warren, Ohio; one stepson, Jay White of Greenville, Va.; one daughter, Mrs. Mark (Christina) Lee of Warren, Ohio; two stepdaughters, Gina Smith of Mill Creek and Janie Channell of Elkins; four brothers, Gerald White and Michael White, both of Warren, Ohio, and Dallas White and Stephen White, both of Elkins; one sister, Patricia Morris of Fulks Run, Va.; and 11 grandchildren, Austin, Alyssa, Brandon, Ashley, Kaylee, Dylan, Rebecca, Matthew, Nicholas, Nathan and Amanda.
Also preceding him in death was a granddaughter, Hope Lee.
Mr. White was employed by Wampler-Longacre and was a welder.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be under the direction of the Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins for Richard Allen “Dick” White.
