Patsy J. Antolini 1920-2003 Obituary
Patsy J. “Pat” Antolini, 82, a resident of the Buckhannon Pike, Norton, passed away Thursday evening, Jan. 2, 2003, in the Davis Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
He was born March 23, 1920, at Norton, a son of the late Nunzio “James” and Antonetta DiBacco Antolini.
On July 16, 1940, he was married to Betty L. Corley Antolini, who survives.
Also surviving are one son, Robert Joseph Antolini and wife, Martha, of Morgantown; one daughter, Mrs. George R. “Tyke” (Anna Marie) Kyle of Elkins; one brother, Louis Antolini of Arthurdale; one sister, Cora Travise of Coalton; a special niece, Mrs. Charles (Frances) Girard of Elkins; six grandchildren, James Vincent Antolini and wife, Stella, of Sacramento, Calif., George Patrick Antolini and wife, Susanne, of Martinsburg, Christina Elizabeth Antolini of Clarksburg, Frederick Vincent Antolini and wife, Katherine, of Buckhannon, Dr. Ryan Antolini and Kristin Dawn Antolini of Morgantown; and five great-grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death were three sons, Sgt. James V. Antolini, John Michael Antolini and Frederick Vincent Antolini; two brothers, James Vincent Antolini and Orest Antolini; and two sisters, Anna Polce and Cora Antolini.
Mr. Antolini was a retired Union construction worker and was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army with the 315th Field Artillery Battalion.
He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church of Coalton, Laborers Local No. 984 of Clarksburg and the Randolph County Senior Center.
Friends may call at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Father Roy Schuster as the presider.
On Monday, Mr. Antolini will be moved to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church where the Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. with the the Rev. Father Roy Schuster presiding. Interment will follow at St. Vincent’s Cemetery where full military rites will be accorded by members of H.W. Daniels Post 29 American Legion and Tygart Valley Post 3647 Veterans of Foreign Wars.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to St. Patrick’s Church, c/o Carol Sylvester, Coalton, W.Va. 26257.
