Charles Arbogast Sr. 1915-2003 Obituary
Charles Lemuel Arbogast Sr., 87, of Severn, Md., passed away Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 14, 1915, in Bowden, a son of the late Benjamin Harley and Amanda Elizabeth Sachs Arbogast.
On June 8, 1938, he was united in marriage to the former Susie Elizabeth Williams, who survives in Severn, Md.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Carolyn Parsons of Severn, Md., Penny Upton of Pasadena, Md., and Brenda Bloomquist of Linthicum, Md.; one son, Charles Arbogast Jr. of Glenburnie, Md.
Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Paula and Ardon Parsons, Charles Arbogast III, Sandra Klhor, Tammy Wagner, Leroy and Christie Downin, Kevin and Mark Bloomquist; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were two sisters, Mary Helen Roy and Vergie Ferguson; two brothers, John and Denzil Arbogast; and two grandchildren, Michael Arbogast and infant, Tracy Parsons.
He worked for Allied Chemical Corp. as an electrician for 22 years retiring in February 1974. His hobbies were working in his garage on cars and working in his garden.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, playing his guitar and spending time with his wife and grandchildren. He was also a member of the Ernest Angley Grace Cathedral in Akron, Ohio.
Friends were received at F.E. Runner Funeral Home on Jan. 27. Funeral services were conducted from the Runner chapel Jan. 28. The Rev. A.H. Belt, pastor of the Gospel Light Tabernacle officiated. Interment followed at the Mountain State Memorial Gardens in Gilman.
The F.E. Runner Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements for Charles Lemuel Arbogast.
