Jessie P. Arbogast 1914-2003 Obituary
Jessie Pearl Arbogast, 88, a resident of Parsons, departed this life Monday afternoon, March 24, 2003, at Garrett Memorial Hospital at Oakland, Md., following an extended illness.
She was born July 3, 1914, in Virginia, a daughter of the late Trip Hinkle and Florence Warner Hinkle.
She is survived by her long-time companion, Warren Kisamore of Parsons; three nieces, Rosalee Hinkle, Ruthalene Hinkle and Wilma Lee Strawderman; four nephews, Jason Hinkle, Carole Hinkle, Dalie Hinkle and Burley Hinkle, all of Virginia; and several great-nieces and nephews. Also surviving is a great-nephew, whom Mrs. Arbogast raised, William R. “Buddy” Kuykendall of Hendricks.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and was preceded in death by her husband, John Arbogast.
She was a homemaker and a Presbyterian by faith and a noted cook. She had worked for the Marvel Processing Co. of Dayton, Va., and the former Parsons Nursery.
The family will receive friends at Barb & Greenlief Funeral Home today from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home parlor Thursday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Harley DeLeurere will officiate and interment will follow at Parsons City Cemetery. The Barb & Greenlief Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Jessie Pearl Arbogast.
