Mary V. Arnett 1923-2003 Obituary
Mary Virginia “Jenny” Arnett, 79, of Mt. Clare, and formerly of Summit Park, died at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003, in United Hospital Center.
She was born in Mabie on Sept. 6, 1923, a daughter of the late Paul Wamsley and the late Daisy Markley Wamsley.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Carl Arnett; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Warren Nicholson, Durbin, and Donna and Ronald Cabo, Mt. Clare; two sons and daughters-in-law, Frank and Kiane Arnett, Summit Park, and John and Sharon Arnett, Westfield, N.C.; two sisters, Polly Burks, Buckeye, and Lorraine Burks, Hillsboro; three brothers, Frank Wamsley, Mill Creek, Bayard Wamsley, Helvetia, and John Wamsley, Summit Park; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Carrie Arbogast, Marie Moss and Josephine Wamsley.
Mrs. Arnett was a homemaker and a Baptist by faith.
Friends will be received at Davis-Weaver Funeral Home, 329 East Main St., Clarksburg, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. today. A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home Saturday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Rick Owens presiding. Interment will be in Lost Creek Seventh Day Baptist Church Cemetery (Brick Church).
