Jennings L. Barb 1937-2003 Obituary
Jennings Lee Barb, 66, a resident of the Laurel View Apartments in Belington, departed this life 5:10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003, in the Davis Memorial Hospital. He had been in failing health for the past six months and death was attributed to cancer.
He was born Aug. 26, 1937, in Elkins, the son of the late Monroe and Carrie Hammonds Barb.
On Dec. 17, 1960, at Red House, Md., he was united in marriage to the former Dorothy Harris, who survives at their home in Belington.
Along with his wife he his survived by two sons, Ginger Barb and wife, Debbie, of Belington, and Mark Barb, in the U.S. Army; one daughter, Brenda Biller and husband, Dave, of Belington; one daughter-in-law, Erica Lemoine of Indiana; two sisters, Linda Ross and husband, Lester, of Elkins, and Deloris Tacy of Belington; and one brother, Daris Barb of Elkins.
Grandchildren surviving are Jessica, Kurtis, Melissa, Amy, Thomas and Samantha Barb, Daniel Horner, Ashley Smith, Alicia Winkler, Christy Lester, Jeremy Biller, and Kenny and Austin Lemoine; and two great-grandchildren, Destiney Blake and Hunter Lester. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one son, Jennings Junior “Jay” Barb; three brothers Hartsol, Harvey and Charles Barb; and two sisters, Clara Wilt and Juanita Weese.
Mr. Barb attended the schools of Randolph County, was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was a Protestant by faith.

Friends may call the Talbott Funeral Home from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and on Friday until 1 p.m., the funeral hour. Services will be conducted from the funeral home parlor with the Rev. F.L. Wink McQuain officiating. Interment will follow in the Fraternal Cemetery at Belington. The Talbott Funeral Home in Belington is in charge of the arrangements for Jennings Lee Barb.
