Michelle L. Barnes 1970-2003 Obituary
Michelle Lee Barnes, 32, of Sheffield Village and formerly of Elyria, Ohio, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, at University Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio, after a long battle with breast cancer.
She was born May 9, 1970, in Cleveland, Ohio, a daughter of Charles B. and Diane Moran Barnes of Sheffield Village, Ohio.
She is also survived by two brothers, Michael H. Barnes, Elyria, Ohio, and James R. Barnes, Lakewood, Ohio; one nephew and several nieces.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Gordon and Virginia Moran of Monroe County; and her paternal grandparents, Charles and Louristine Barnes of Davis.
Ms. Barnes was presently enrolled at Baldwin Wallace College where she was to receive her teaching certificate in May. She attended Community United Methodist Church, Elyria, Ohio, and was active with the youth group of the church. Most recently she was employed at Good Samaritan Nursing Home.
Friends will be received at Hinkle Funeral Home in Davis Friday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Hinkle Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Eli Hostetler officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 43099 North Ridge Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035. Hinkle Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
