Margaret J. Beckner 1939-2003 Obituary
Margaret Jane Beckner, 64, of 133 Pocahontas St., Buckhannon, died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2003, at her home.
She was born April 14, 1939, in Buckhannon, the daughter of the late Ernest Auskings and Virginia Maxson Auskings.
On Aug. 10, 1956, she was married to Marlin Beckner, who survives.
Surviving are seven daughters, Terry Blagg of Buckhannon, Jodi Rinker of Bridgeport, Kelly Austin of Buckhannon, Traci Corathers of Ellamore, Lori Beckner of Weston, Lisa Beckner of Buckhannon and Cindy Hamilton of Tallmansville; two sons, Jeff Beckner of Tallmansville and Marlin Beckner of Buckhannon; 11 grandchildren including Bo Dwain and Sheena Beckner who were raised by their grandparents; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Varion “Benny” Simons of Niles, Ohio, and Alice Ann Smith of Buckhannon; and two brothers, Wayne Auskings of Buckhannon and Lawrence Auskings of Nocogdoches, Texas.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Lee Burnside and one brother, Arthur Auskings.
She was a housewife and a Methodist by faith.
Friends will be received Friday at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m., the funeral hour. Interment will follow in the Heavner Cemetery.
