Vallie M. Bonner 1932-2003 Obituary
Vallie Marie Bonner, 71, of Munson Twp., Ohio, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2003, at her home.
She was born April 22, 1932, in Dry Fork, the daughter of the late Wilbert and Pearlie Varner White.
On Sept. 18, 1954, she married Dwight Bonner, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Christine Moffett of Warren, Ohio, and Sherry Bonner of Chardon, Ohio; two sons, Gary Bonner of Chardon, Ohio, and Gregory (Gayle) Bonner of South Riding, Va.; six grandchildren, Jacob Bonner, Keith and Kyle Hershberger, John Bergenstein, Elyssa and Ryan Bonner; and one sister, Mary Lea Yokum of Claridon Twp., Ohio.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Savannah Waybright and Naomi White; and three brothers, Oliver, Willis and Nolan White.
Mrs. Bonner served as a quality control inspector for LFE Corp. for 19 years, retiring in 1994. She then worked part time eight years as a home health aide until her illness no longer permitted it. She was a member of the Concord Alliance Church.
She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, flower and vegetable gardening, reading and crafts. She also loved attending bluegrass music festivals. She and her husband enjoyed camping throughout the United States.
Friends will be received Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., the funeral hour, at the Dry Fork Assembly of God Church. Pastor Roger Waybright and Pastor Gary Boyd, nephews of the deceased, will officiate. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 5786 Meisley Road, Mentor, Ohio 44060 or the Palliative Care Unit of the Cleveland Clinic, 9500 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, Ohio 44195. Hinkle Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
