Oral A. Brake 1919-2003 Obituary
Oral A. Brake, 84, of Nella’s Nursing Home in Elkins and formerly of Cox’s Mills, died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2003, at the nursing home.
He was born June 12, 1919, in Duffy, the son of the late Ora Brake and Frona Woods Smith Brake.
He was preceded in death by two wives, Elsie Brake and Virginia Palmer Brake.Surviving are one sister, Juanita Garrett Murphy of Salem; and 18 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Frank Smith; and one sister, Stella Smith Ware.
He was a lumberman and a Protestant by faith. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Kincaid Cemetery near Ireland.
The Alkire Funeral Chapel of Ireland is in charge of the arrangements for Oral A. Brake.
