Harold B. Brannon 1925-2003 Obituary
Harold B. Brannon, 77, of Route 4, Buckhannon, died Monday, March 17, 2003, in Charleston Area Medical Center, Charleston.
He was born Aug. 27, 1925, in Enoch, a son of the late Greeley Brannon and Ava White Brannon Wilson.
She married Mildred V. Nicholas Brannon, who preceded her in death on Dec. 30, 1998.
Surviving are five daughters, Sharon Sue Short of Ohio, Elfreda “Ally” Coen of Buckhannon, Diana Mae Crites of French Creek, Shelia Moses of Ohio, and Charlotte Ann Wamsley of Hodgesville; two sons, Harold Wayne Brannon of Buckhannon, and Joseph Randal Brannon of Clarksburg; 18 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two brothers, Samuel Wilson of Ohio, and Kent Wilson of Clay.
He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Tracey.
He was a retired coal miner and retired farmer.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the UMW.
He was a Protestant by faith.
Graveside services will be held at Mount Nebo Cemetery Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Kevin Teets officiating.
Burial will be in Mt. Nebo Cemetery.
