Donald L. Broschart 1948-2003 Obituary
Donald L. Broschart, 55, a resident of 1019 W. Central St., Elkins, passed away Tuesday morning, April 22, 2003, in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born Feb. 29, 1948, the son of the late William D. and Rose Marie Travise Broschart.
On Aug. 27, 1987, in Elkins, he was married to Kathy Ross Broschart, who survives in Elkins.
Also surviving is one son, Patrick J. Robinson of Wilmington, N.C.; four daughters, Susie Boatwright and husband, Roger, and Gerri Mouse Broschart, all of Elkins, Julie Broschart of Bowden and Dawnie Chewning and husband, Kevin, of Coalton; three brothers, David Broschart and wife, Teresa, of Coalton, Eddie Broschart and wife, Denise, of Maryland, Jeff Broschart and wife, Beth, of Elkins; and one sister, Suzanne Carter and husband, Bill, of Coalton. Four grandchildren, Christopher and Tanner Boatwright and Dustin and Garrett Chewning, also survive.
Also preceding him in death was one sister, Vickie Broschart.
Mr. Broschart was a graduate of Coalton High School.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator and was last employed by Elmo Greer and Sons Construction Co.
He was a member of the Beech Mountain Sportsman’s Club, Tygart Valley Muzzleloaders, National Rifle Association and the Rambusters. He was a member of St. Brendan Catholic Church.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins.
A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Father Giles LeVasseur presiding. On Saturday morning, Mr. Broschart will be moved to St. Brendan Catholic Church where the Liturgy of Christian
Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. The Rev. Fr. Giles LeVasseur will be the celebrant and interment will follow in the Phillips Cemetery at Jimtown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Brendan Catholic Church Building Fund, PO Box 2205, Elkins, W.Va. 26241 in memory of Mr. Broschart.
