Helen A. Burner 1912-2003 Obituary
Helen Agnes Robinson Burner, 91, a resident of the Barbour County Good Samaritan Center in Belington and formerly of Buckhannon, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2003, at the Good Samaritan Center.
She was born April 19, 1912, at Arden, the daughter of the late Thomas and Mayme Gattain Robinson.
Her husband, Charles Frederick Burner, preceded her in death on July 5, 1975.
Surviving are one son, Charles Ray Burner and wife, Judy, Petersburg; one sister, Kathryn Frum, Naples, Fla.; 11 grandchildren, Jo Ellen Thompson of Elkins; Susan Kimble of Petersburg; Karen Andriot of Louisville, Ky.; Tommy Burner of Morgantown; Tim Phillippi of Missoula, Mont.; Berry J. Phillippi of Virginia Beach, Va.; Beth Woodson and Jack Phillippi of Virginia; Greg Burner and Alicia Robinson of Philippi; Cheryl Richards of Greenwood, W.Va.; 40 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Also preceding her in death were two sons, Thomas Burner and Robert A. Burner; one daughter, Shelby King; and four grandchildren, Jeff Phillippi, Jill Stafford, Kathy Bender and Tina Woodson
Mrs. Burner was a retired nurse’s aide from the West Virginia University Medical Center Hospital.
She was a member of Philippi Chapter 41 Order of the Eastern Star and Mary’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
Friends may call at the Stemple & Forman Funeral Home in Philippi on Sunday from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m., the funeral hour.
The Rev. Robert Nichols will officiate and interment will follow in the Mary’s Chapel Cemetery. Stemple & Forman
