Doris Caplinger 1925-2003 Obituary
Doris Eileen Shaver Caplinger, 77, of St. Albans, died Thursday, April 3, 2003, in Thomas Memorial Hospital from injuries received in an auto accident.
She was born Dec. 14, 1925, in Poplar, Ohio.
She retired from the AFL-CIO.
Surviving are three daughters, Carol O’Dell of Summersville, Kaye Widney of Fairmont and Sue Ruebenstein of Cross Lanes; three sons, Kenneth Caplinger of Scott Depot, David Caplinger of Dunmore and Michael Caplinger of Morgantown; one brother, Robert Shaver of Hurricane; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Upper Mausoleum Chapel at Cunningham Memorial Park in St. Albans with the Rev. Ron Crum officiating.
Friends may call at the cemetery one hour prior to the service.
The family suggests donations may be made to the Poplar Ridge FWB Church, in care of Junior L. Lemley, 93 Quail Creek Extension, Gallipolis, Ohio, 45631.
Snodgrass Funeral Home in South Charleston is in charge of the arrangements.
