Luther E. Lambert 1909-2001 Obituary
Luther E. Lambert, 92, of 507 Wilson St., Elkins, died Friday morning, Aug. 31, 2001, in Davis Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Lambert was born Aug. 10. 1909, in Wymer, a son of the late Elam and Frances White Lambert.
He married the former Lena Snyder, who preceded him in death on March 29, 1964.
Surviving are three sons, Hansel Lambert and wife, Hilda, Malvern, Ohio; Raymond Lambert and wife Ruth, Akron, Ohio; and Kermit Lambert and wife, Sandy, Wymer; two stepsons, Tunney Lambert and wife, Louella, East Canton, Ohio, and Earnest Lambert, Wymer; two stepdaughters, Permilla Reed, Canton, Ohio, and Grace Tingler, Elkins; a brother Oley Lambert, Harman; eight grandchildren, 26 step- grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, 58 step-great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and 36 step- great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two stepson, Blake and Dempsey Lambert; a stepdaughter, Carrie Lambert; a brother, Huey Lambert; two sisters, Mary Carr and Stella Carr; and triplet sisters, who died at birth.
Mr Lambert was employed by Natco of East Canton, Ohio, prior to his retirement.
Friends may call at Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins today from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Sunday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Walter Blough officiating.
Interment will follow at Lambert Cemetery in Wymer.
