Alta Waybright Slaubaugh 1924-2001 Obituary
Alta Waybright Slaubaugh, 76, of Horse Shoe Run, died Aug. 16, at home. Deat was attributed to cancer.
She was born June 9, 1925 at Horse Shoe Run, a daughter of the late McClellan Bennett and Martha Anna Waybright Bennett.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Arthur Junior Slaubaugh; two sons, Edward (and Joyce) of Westernport, MD, Cline (and Susan) of New Creek; four daughters; Anna Marston of Frankfort, KY, donna Steele (and George), Louise Gordon (and Charles) both of Horse Shoe Run, Joyce Moran (and Mike) of Elkins; four sisters, Maggie Pennington of Thomas, Mabel Cassidy of Oakland, Ada Slaubaugh of Montrose, Annie Marcottie of Lowell, MA; 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Four sisters, four brothers and one great-grandson preceded her in death.
Mrs. Slaubaugh was a homemaker and was a lifelong member of Maple Grove Assembly of God Church.
Friends were received at Hinkle Funeral Home, Davis, where funeral services were held Aug. 19, with Rev. Benjamin Riggleman officiating. Interment followed in the Accident Cemetery, Horse Shoe Run.
