Elsie Roy 1930-2001 Obituary
Elsie F. Roy, 71, of North Toledo died Aug. 5, in Flower Hospital.
Born Jan. 21, 1930 to Arthur and Martha Knotts, she was a homemaker. Her husband, Lorenzia, preceded her in death in 1983.
She was also a waitress at the Toledo Club for several years, retiring in 1989.
She is survived by two sisters, Mary Watring, Bernice (and Clifford) Van Meter; a brother Elwood (and Hazel) Knotts, all of West Virginia; brothers-in-law, Herbert Roy of Toledo, and Gordon Roy of Michigan; sisters-in-law, Margaret Fisher of Toledo, and Evelyn Roush of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Roy was a member of the Riverpoint Ministries Church, Point Place Campus, and of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 197.
David R. Jasin Funeral Home will be the site of the funeral service Thursday, Aug. 9 at 11 am with the Rev. Brian Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
