Nancy Talbott 1943-2003 Obituary
Nancy Jo Shriver Talbott, 60, a resident of Philippi, departed this life at 3 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003, in the United Hospital Center in Clarksburg. She had been in declining health for one and one half years.
She was born April 15, 1943, in Fairmont, the daughter of the late Howard Shriver and Iris Thompson Shriver, who survives in Fairmont. On Aug. 30, 1965, at Elkton, Md., she was united in marriage to Nelson Rupert Talbott, who preceded her in death on Feb. 19, 1999.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by one daughter, Kathy Ball of Philippi; one stepson, Roger Talbott of Junior; five stepdaughters, Gloria Chapman of Ohio, Phyllis Shatley and Debra Doherty, both of Delaware, and Pamela Conner and Kimberly Wisenbaler, both of Fairmont. Also surviving are four sisters and one brother, all of Fairmont, one grandchild and 23 stepgrandchildren.
Mrs. Talbott was a graduate of Buckhannon-Upsher High School, was a homemaker and a seamstress and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at Tacy.
Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and on Wednesday until 11 a.m., the funeral hour when services will be conducted from the funeral home parlor. Bishop Charles Sheilds will officiate and interment will follow in the Talbott Cemetery near Belington. The Talbott Funeral Home in Belington is in charge of the arrangements for Nancy Jo Shriver Talbott. From 20 Oct 2003.
