Neale N. Thacker 1934-2003 Obituary
Neale Nicholas Thacker, 69, of 5 W. Victoria St., Buckhannon, died at 8:29 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, 2003, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born Feb. 15, 1934, the son of the late Edgar Delphin Thacker and Roberta Frances Young Thacker, who survives in Amherst, Ohio.
On May 5, 1953, he married Phyllis Martin Thacker, who survives.
Also surviving are one son, Steve Thacker and wife, Joyce, of Buckhannon; two daughters, Debbie Wilfong and husband, Jerry, of Buckhannon and Tina Mullendore and husband, Doug, of Blacksburg, Va.; one sister, Kay Winebrenner of Amherst, Ohio; one granddaughter, Natalie Hissam of Fairmont; four grandsons, Troy Thacker of Buckhannon, Tommy Thacker of New Castle, Pa., Nicholas Wilfong of Buckhannon, and Douglas Mullendore of Blacksburg, Va.; one great-granddaughter, Audra Thacker of New Castle, Va.; one great-grandson, Trey Hissam of Fairmont; one sister-in-law, Betty Haymond, Buckhannon; two aunts, Avanelle Thacker Storti of San Antonio, Texas, and Willa Score of Maryland; one uncle, James Thacker of Charleston; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the owner-operator of Triangle Service Station and was a member of the French Creek Presbyterian Church, Central Upshur Lions Club, Stardust Cruisers and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday. Interment will follow in Heavner Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the French Creek United Methodist Church, in care of Marguerite Hefner, Route 1, Box 17, French Creek, W.Va. 26218. From 26 Nov 2003.
