Carol R. Thompson 1936-2003 Obituary
Carol R. Thompson, 67, a resident of Sullivan’s Crossing, passed away at 3:24 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2003, at Davis Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 7, 1936, at Circleville, a daughter of the late Ora and Birtie Lambert Wimer.
She was preceded in death by her companion of many years, Lewis W. “Happy” Leary on Dec. 23, 2002.
Surviving are two brothers, Carl Wimer of Mt. Jackson, Va., and Johnie Wimer of Timberville, Va.; four sisters, Martha Wimer, Franklin, Lorine Haefner, Topeka, Kans., Reva Rittenour, Mt. Jackson, Va., and Revella Siever of New Market, Va.
Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Gilbert Wimer and John B. Wimer; one sister, Nola Skoufatos; and three half sisters, Minnie Judy, Zena Kimble and Delcie Lambert.
She was employed by Reidbord Brothers for many years prior to becoming disabled. She was a homemaker and a Presbyterian by faith.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Keith Miller and the Rev. Destry Daniels officiating. Interment will follow in Mouse Cemetery. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Carol R. Thompson.
