Carolyn J. Vanpelt 1940-2003 Obituary
Carolyn Joyce Vanpelt, 62, of Route 2, Box 123, Buckhannon, died Thursday, April 17, 2003, in IHS Greenery in Cannonsburg, Pa.
She was born Oct. 29, 1940, in Upshur County, a daughter of the late William O. and Mary Lucille Ernest Bailey.
On July 25, 1980, she married Roy Vanpelt, who preceded her in death on Jan. 7, 1995.
Surviving are three nephews, Dennis Phillips, Buckhannon, Bill Phillips, Elkins, and John Phillips, Norton; two nieces, Theresa Knipe, Buckhannon, and Elizabeth “Libby” Chidester, Buckhannon; and several great-nieces and nephews.
She was a school teacher for the Randolph County Board of Education. She was a Baptist by faith.
Friends will be received at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Saturday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Donald Butcher officiating. Interment will follow in Bailey Cemetery in Buckhannon. From 18 Apr 2003.
