Geneva M. Ware 1908-2003 Obituary
Mrs. Geneva “Neva” M. Ware, 95, a resident of 405 Brown Ave. in Belington departed this life at 7:35 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 2003, in the United Hospital Center at Clarksburg. She had been in failing health for the past several weeks but death was unexpected.
She was born Nov. 4, 1908, in the Sugar Creek community near Belington, a daughter of the late Samuel and Lee Ida Booth Moran.
On April 26, 1931, she was married to Kenneth H. Ware, who preceded her in death Jan. 17, 1994.
Also preceding her in death were one son, Kenneth “Ron” Ware; and four brothers and six sisters.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Elaine Ware of Belington; and several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Mrs. Ware attended the schools of Barbour County. She was a long-time member of the Asbury United Methodist Church in Belington where she served in various offices and committees and was very much involved in all functions of the church work. She was also a member of the Tygart Valley Rebekah Lodge 181 in Belington.
Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home in Belington from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and on Sunday until 2 p.m., the funeral hour, when final rites will be conducted from the funeral home parlor with the Rev. Arden Beck officiating. Interment will follow in the Fraternal Cemetery at Belington. The Talbott Funeral Home in Belington is in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Geneva “Neva” M. Ware.
