Raymond Chenoweth 1937-2003 Obituary
Raymond Allen Chenoweth, 65, of 116 Howard St., Belington, died Tuesday evening, April 29, 2003, at his home following an extended illness.
He was born May 16, 1937, at Beverly, Randolph County, the son of the late Charles Bernard and Amanda Virginia (Bender) Chenoweth.
On March 11, 1967, he married the former Patricia Lou O’Hare, who survives at Howard Street, Belington.
Also surviving are two daughters, Marlene “Kay” Pudder, Belington, and Virginia Pudder, Elkins; two sons, Raymond A. Chenoweth Jr., Elkins, and Michael D. Chenoweth, at home; two brothers, Frank B. Chenoweth, Parkersburg, and Donald L. Chenoweth, Elkhart, Ind.; five sisters, Linda E. Dolly, Petersburg, Janet L. Chenoweth, Parkersburg, Judy Lantz, Lakeland, Fla., Dora J. Moellendick, Parkersburg, Cora S. Chenoweth, Cincinnati, Ohio; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Susan Dawn Chenoweth; and two brothers, Robert Wilson Chenoweth and James Edmond Chenoweth.
Mr. Chenoweth was a plumber and was formerly employed by McLean Plumbing and Heating.
He was a Korean Era veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a Nazarene by faith and was a loving and devoted father and grandfather.
Friends may call at Schoonover-Stemple Funeral Chapel in Belington from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Friday, when funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. A.H. Belt officiating.
Interment will follow in Concord Cemetery with the presentation of the American flag by the American Legion Post 44.
