Barbie Collins 1962-2003 Obituary
Barbie Sayre Collins, 41, of Route 1, French Creek, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon.
She was born April 15, 1962, in Upshur County, the daughter of Troy O. Sayre and the late Lucille P. Tenney Sayre.
She was united in marriage April 19, 1980, to Raymond Michael Collins, who survives.
She is survived by one son, Roger Michael Collins, at home; one sister, Donna Lewis and husband, Mike, of French Creek; one brother, Steven Sayre and wife, Elsie, of French Creek; and several nieces and nephews.
Barbie was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Sayre, on Dec. 16, 2002, and one brother, Michael Sayre, on Dec. 13, 2000.
She was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter and aunt. A homemaker and a green-thumb gardener, Barbie loved her flowers. She will be missed by all.
Friends were received at the Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. today at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Robert Heavner and Donna Lewis officiating.
Interment followed in the Pleasant Dale Cemetery at Selbyville.
