Robert L. Collins 1950-2003 Obituary
Robert Layne Collins, 52, a resident of Huttonsville, departed this life Friday, March 28, 2003, at his home. He had been in declining health.
He was born Thursday, May 25, 1950, at Elkins, the son of Boggs George Collins and Mary Emily White Collins, who survive at Huttonsville.
He had never married.
Also surviving are one brother, Tom L. Collins, Huttonsville; one sister, Sheila McCauley and husband, Larry, Huttonsville; and one niece, Shelby A. McCauley.
He attended the schools of Randolph County and Tygarts Valley High School, had worked for several years at the Durbin Tannery, Labcraft and the Dietary Department at Davis Memorial Hospital, and worked as a gravedigger along with his father for 30 years.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Brick Church Cemetery at Huttonsville.
The Rev. Ralph Summerfield will officiate and interment will follow.
