Victor E. Crites 1924-2003 Obituary
Victor Elwood Crites, 78, of Dorcas, died April 12, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
Born May 19, 1924, in Grant County, he was the son of the late Roy Edward Crites and Lucy Viola (Burgess) Crites.
He is survived by his former wife, Catherine (Thorne) Crites Funk; three sons, Edward Crites of Petersburg, Delmas Crites of Dorcas, and Roscoe Crites of Moorefield; two daughters, Charlotte Ketterman of Maysville, and Brenda Cook of Moorefield; two brothers, Leon Crites of Okeechobee, Fla., and Willis Crites of Harrisonburg, Va.; four sisters, Jeanette Keplinger of Moorefield, Sudie Rinker of Purgitsville and Mary Crites and Emojean Hinkle, both of Petersburg; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were April 15, at the Schaeffer Funeral Home chapel, Petersburg, with interment in the Thorne Family Cemetery, Boot Hill Section, Dorcas.
