Danny W. Day 1954-2003 Obituary
Danny William Day, 48, a resident of the Blackman Flats community, Parsons, departed this life Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at his home.
He had been in declining health.
He was born Aug. 30, 1954, a son of the late Warren Kelly Day and Marie Corbett Day.
Surving are one daughter, Holly Day, Ohio; one sister, Dr. Donna Gutshall and husband, David, Spartanburg, S.C.; his paternal grandmother, Nellie E. Hinkle Day; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Kelly Day; and one sister, Terry Ann Bennett.
He was a 1972 graduate of Parsons High School, of which he was co-captain of the football team. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He was a former employee of the Kingsford Charcoal Company.
He was well known among his friends for his musical talent on the spoons and drums.
He was an avid outdoorsman.
The family will receive friends at the Barb & Greenlief Funeral Home today from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Final rites will be conducted at the funeral hem parlor Saturday at 11 a.m.
The Rev. David Fuller will officiate and interment will follow at the Parsons City Cemetery at Parsons.
