Ralph C. Depoy 1928-2003 Obituary
Ralph C. Depoy, 74, of Route 2, Adrian, died Friday, Feb. 28, 2003, at Nella’s Inc. Nursing Home in Elkins.
He was born Sept. 23, 1928, in Upshur County, a son of the late Charles C. and Della M. House Depoy.
He was married to Guilda Wilfong Depoy, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by one stepson, Michael Wilfong; one sister, Mary Russell of Belvidere, Ill.; and four brothers, Walter Depoy of Alton, Charles Depoy of Alton, William Depoy of Petersburg, Va., and Wesley Depoy of Alexander.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and one half sister.
Mr. Depoy was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy for three years and the Air Force for four years and had served in the Korean War.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3663 of Buckhannon and a lifetime member of the DAV Post 36 of French Creek.
He was a Methodist by faith.
Friends were received Sunday at Robert M. Vincent Funeral Home at French Creek.
Funeral services were held at the funeral home today at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Conrad Tenney officiating.
Burial followed in Waterloo Cemetery. Robert M. Vincent Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
