William Dess 1921-2003 Obituary
William Dess, 82, of Route 1, Box 219D, French Creek, died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born March 29, 1921, in Baltimore, Md., the son of the late William H. Dess and Frances Gabriel Dess.
In 1956, he was married to Thelma Keller Dess, who survives.
Surviving are one daughter, Barbara Smith of Parkville, Md.; and seven grandchildren.
He was a draftsman, carpenter and professional artist.
He was a member of the Buckhannon Moose Lodge No. 598.
He was a Catholic by faith.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home where funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Fr. James McCafferty and the Rev. Robert Poling will officiate and interment will follow in the Sand Run Baptist Church Cemetery.
