Glenda J. Donaldson 1930-2003 Obituary
Glenda Jean Donaldson, 72, of Morgantown, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2003, at her home.
She was born Oct. 1, 1930, at Junior, a daughter of the late William E. and Icie May (Nee Daniels) Moore.
Her husband of 56 years, Edward R. “Blue Eyes” Donaldson, survives at Morgantown.
Also surviving are three daughters, Delores “Toodles” and husband, Allen Skidmore, Junior; Peggy Stevenson and Sherrie Lunsford, both of Morgantown; one son, Edward “Butch” and wife, Roxie Donaldson, Morgantown; two sisters, Darlene McDonald, Junior, and Mildred Scalercio, Port Orange, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, Rex Skidmore, Wayne Skidmore, Clinton Skidmore, Terry Kinsley, Chad and Amber Stevenson, Ann Haverfield, Tracy Forquer, Burdett and Troy Donaldson.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Pauline Schoonover; one brother, Charles Steven “Bud” Moore; one son-in-law, Leon Stevenson and two grandchildren, Jason and Lance Stevenson.
Mrs. Donaldson was a homemaker who enjoyed making crafts.
She was a member of the Cool Springs Apostolic Church on Kingwood Pike, Morgantown.
Friends may call at the Cool Springs Apostolic Church, Morgantown, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. today and at the Schoonover-Stemple Funeral Chapel in Belington from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Wednesday.
Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. on Thursday. The Rev. Doyle N. Rider and the Rev. John Henry will officiate and interment will follow in the Maplewood Cemetery at Elkins.
The Schoonover-Stemple Funeral Chapel is entrusted with local arrangements.
