Ruth Q. Francis 1918-2003 Obituary
Ruth Queen Francis, 84, of Fairfax City, Va., died Sunday, June 29, 2003, in her home, after a short illness.
She was born Sept. 19, 1918, in the Brushy Fork community, Upshur County, a daughter of Ernest Mead Queen and Grace Kathryn Fultz.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Powers; and a brother, Kenneth Queen.
She is survived by one brother, Quay Queen of Spruce Fork, Upshur County; her husband, Clifford Francis of Fairfax, Va.; one son, Larry Francis of Fauquier County, Va.; one daughter, June Kuprijanow of Fairfax County, Va.; six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was a graduate of the Buckhannon-Upshur High School class of 1939. She was a member of the Brushy Fork Community Club and a member of the Reger Chapel United Methodist Church.
Friends will be received Wednesday at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Reger Chapel Church and burial will follow in the church cemetery. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
