Paul E. Freeman 1927-2003 Obituary
Paul Edward Freeman, 76, of Canal Fulton, Ohio, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2003, in the Country Lawn Nursing Home in Navarre, Ohio, following an extended illness.
He was born Aug. 20, 1927, at Moatsville, Barbour County, the son of the late Coda Ray and Hazel Moore Freeman.
His wife, the former Dorothy May Shaffer, preceded him in death on Oct. 24, 1994.
Surviving are two sons, Keith Freeman of Massillon, Ohio, and Freddie Freeman of Ft. Blackmore, Va.; four daughters, Kathleen Coombs of Alderson, Charlotte Ullom of Massillon, Theresa Boyles of Raleigh, N.C., and Lela Gantz of Canal Fulton; seven brothers, Herbert Freeman of Akron, Ohio, Robert Freeman of Columbus, Ga., George “Bud” Freeman of Belington, Tommy Freeman of Montrose, Kenneth Freeman of Thomas, Richard Freeman of Philippi and Sammy Freeman of Moatsville; four sisters, Doris Streets of Baltimore, Md., Betty Frey of Moatsville, Colleen Frey of Belington, and Anna Lou Shaw of Washington, Pa.; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Juanita Bell Freeman; and by one brother, Ramon Durl Freeman.
Mr. Freeman was a retired concrete finisher and was a member of the Massillon Baptist Temple.
Friends may call at the Stemple & Forman Funeral Home in Philippi from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Friday when funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Larry Poling officiating.
Interment will follow in the Central Chapel Cemetery. Stemple & Forman Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
