Richard Allen “Rick” Mallow 1946-2022 Obituary
Richard Allen “Rick” Mallow, age 72 years, a resident of Elkins, WV departed this life Friday morning, March 4, 2022 at his home.
He had been in declining health.
He was born Saturday, October 8, 1949 at Elkins, WV, a son of the late Willie John and Mary Louise Stewart Mallow.
He was previously married to Linda Susan Hartman Mallow, who survives at Elkins.
Also surviving are one son, Christopher “Chris” Mallow of Canaan; one daughter, Beth Mallow Thompson and husband Jim of Norton: one sister, Sue Mallow of Elkins; one grandson, Elliott Arbogast; and one nephew, Patrick Thompson of TX.
Preceding him in death is one brother, William “John” Mallow.
He was a graduate of Elkins High School with the class of 1968.
He retired from the West Virginia Dept. of Highways, where he was a surveyor.
He enjoyed the solitude in hunting and fishing and enjoyed mowing the grass.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins on Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 11 AM to 1 PM.
Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 1 PM.
The Reverend Doctor Basil A. Hensley will officiate and interment will follow at the Mountain State Memorial Gardens at Gilman, WV.
