Emma Christina Weese Poling 1926-2022 Obituary
Emma Christina Weese Poling, age 95 years, a resident of Montrose, WV departed this life Thursday morning, March 31, 2022 at Mansfield Place at Philippi, WV. She had been in declining health.
She was born Tuesday, May 25, 1926 at Montrose, WV a daughter of the late Elijah and Lennie Moore Weese. On February 17, 1942 at Red House, MD she was married to Otis Dennis Poling, who preceded her in death July 9, 2010. They had celebrated sixty-eight years of marriage. Surviving are one sister, Erma Wolford of Elkins and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are five brothers, Ernest, Earl, Elmer, Ensell and Emory Weese.
Emma was educated at the Gainer School House. She was a homemaker, farmer and a Christian by faith.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 11 AM to 12 PM, Monday, April 4, 2022. Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home, Monday, at 12:00 PM. Mike Marrs will officiate and interment will follow at the Leading Creek Primitive Baptist Cemetery at Montrose, WV.
